Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is one of the safest and least invasive treatments in dental aesthetics. It is a cosmetic procedure that seeks to lighten the color of teeth and eliminate stains and discolorations.

Basically, it consists of lightening the base color tone of the tooth, which is determined by the dentin, which is the layer beneath the tooth enamel. Depending on the case, the type of whitening that we are going to perform on the patient must be individualized. We always have to do it in a personalized way.

There are several whitening options:

  • Laser: the most powerful whitening available and is only performed in a dental office.
  • At home: splints are used, always made in the office, adapted to the teeth where they collect the whitening gel.
  • Combination of laser and home.
  • Whitening in non-vital teeth (endodontic): the whitening gel is placed inside the tooth. It is performed in the office.
