BOPT type crowns
The BOPT technique (Biological Oriented Preparation Technique) is a restorative dentistry philosophy that focuses on preserving dental and biological structures during the preparation process for the placement of dental prostheses, such as crowns or bridges. With this technique we avoid the misalignment that occurred over time between the gum and the old crowns, producing a space at the gum margin, which is very unsightly, as well as the risk of caries occurring under the crown. The material of choice for this type of crown is Zirconium.
Advantages:
- Thickening of the gum for a better fit of the crown.
- Excellent aesthetics.
- Long-term tissue stability.
